There's a little padded chamber at one end that the Clarus can slip into (versus just sitting on the speaker in the Ahead bag). The Ahead bag is certainly a tougher unit and in my view likely to be more protective. I would take my acoustic guitar wherever I went and would sing and play for whoever.
